Wonderful World of Briards
Gemma is from our 2011 litter out of Ch. Champagne n' Caviar de Bejuane (CeCe) X GCh. Deja Vu Popsakadoo Up Close and Personal (Udo).  Including Gemma, four puppies from this litter will go on to earn American Championships helping to make their mother "Dam of the Year" and their father "Stud Dog of the Year" for the Briard Club of America in 2011.

As a very young dog showing to her American Championship, Gemma took Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show at the Breeders Classic. It was quite a thrill for Michele to stand in the ring with breeders she has respected for many years and win this honor.  But we knew we had something really special when a Canadian judge who we deeply respect told us she was "the complete package".

In 2014, Gemma was shown extensively in Canada by Michele.  My favorite comment about Gemma, standing ring side and overhearing the exhibitors watching the Best in Show judging, is that she is "very feminine".  First of all, said in French, the word feminine is beautiful. Second, I personally love when the girls look like girls and the boys look like boys.

She ended the year with 3 BIS's, 5 RBIS's, a Canadian Grand Championship (Canada's first Briard Grand Champion), 23 Group 1 placements and a whole host of fun and new friends!  She was the #1 Briard in Canada (for the second year in a row), #7 Herding dog and was even ranked in the Top Twenty Briards in the U.S. after one show (a Group 2 under Judge Lauren).

Gemma recently took home an "Award of Merit" at the 2015 Briard National Specialty in Gettysburg, PA and has earned all the points necessary to become a Briard Club of America Hall of Fame Dog.

Gemma gave birth to a litter of ten puppies on March 2, 2015.  All the puppies are doing well and behaving much like Briard puppies do (so you are forewarned!).  Three of the puppies from this litter are in show homes and have five Championships between them (American and Canadian).

We do have plans to breed Gemma again when she comes into season (waiting, waiting, waiting), so if you are interested in a puppy and would like to discuss a Gemma puppy, best to contact us early. We sell to both show and pet homes. Feel free to contact us using the "contact us" link.  Please keep in mind that we do not control when Gemma will come in season but we do like to pre-screen our buyers.   We do not have puppies on the ground currently so if your need is immediate, we can assist you in finding a quality breeder who may have puppies available.  Always happy to help a fellow Briard lover!
